This phony etched one piece globe turned up at an auction in Southern Ohio a while back. Etching is poorly done and clearly recent, unlike earlier original versions. We have seen more phony etched globes with city and state names on them lately to make them more attractive yet few companies originally did this with etched one piece globes.
